ABOUT
The Lisbon Zero movement is born within the scope of the FORCE Project – Cities Cooperating for Circular Economy – an initiative developed by the European Union based on Dariacordar’s Zero Waste model.
The city of Lisbon has an area of 84.5 km2, with a resident population of about 600.000 inhabitants and a floating population of over 420.000 people and over 100.000 companies. We are talking about 850 tons of waste produced daily. With a strong impact on all dimensions of community life – citizens, organizations, businesses, the economy, the environment, health – this project aims to actively contribute to the sustainability of the city and all who live in it.
